Down 7 Up 8 Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation founded in 2016 by Rose Diggs. Ms. Diggs, as her foster kids affectionately call her, has provided short to medium-term housing for over 300 children during the last 11 years, including 6 separate sets of siblings for 2 or more years.
Each child’s situation is different, and after learning about the various hardships and challenged beginnings these children faced, she chose to found this organization, which seeks to restore hope and dignity to every adopted, foster and child in need.

What is Four Sixes Ranch? Situated on 250,000 acres in the heart of the Texas panhandle, 6666 Ranch (pronounced the Four Sixes Ranch), established in 1870 by Samuel "Burke" Burnett, is part of the famous Burnett Ranches LLC and is among the most storied family-run businesses in Texas history. In 2021, Yellowstone TV series creator Taylor Sheridan and a group of investors purchased the historic ranch with the promise to honor its legacy and heritage. While it has become known outside of the ranching industry as a prime filming location for the popular Yellowstone series, the 6666 Ranch continues to be world-renowned, known primarily for its prized quarter-horses and black angus cattle. Fun fact - Taylor Sheridan, a Texas native, grew up on ranches and is an authentic cowboy himself, having been inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame in 2021. Another Fun Fact - Taylor attended Southwest Texas State University, the alma mater of Ironmonger Brewing owner Doug Bippert.

Each year, the Chattahoochee Plantation Women's Club selects a non-profit charity to support. The selected charity for the coming year is Great Prospects.
Great Prospects was established in September 2009 to address the increasing need for meaningful options in the areas of post-secondary and summer programming. We strive to provide meaningful connections for individuals with disabilities through continued educational enrichment, social interaction, community outreach and recreational programs.
Public schools generally do a good job in providing for the education and development of young people with disabilities up to age 21. But what happens once they age out of the school system? Families face the big question – what’s next? An adult day care center? Supported employment with people who are decades older than your child? That is where Great Prospects comes in – to support that critical transition to the adult world. This “transition gap” is a huge issue in the special needs community and Great Prospects is one of the only programs in the Atlanta area focused on helping individuals and their families with this gap.
Perhaps our CEO, Michelle Jericevich best explains what we do and why:
"Life will lead you down many paths. I never dreamt I would be running a program for the developmentally disabled but here I am.
Life was simple when Indya was in the school system but when it came time to transition out and we started looking at programs, my life came to a halt! There was nothing in 2000 I would even consider. Perhaps this is my greatest accomplishment. To see the friendships forming, peer support and just the fun they have being together doing the things they love brings me pure joy! Our goal at Great Prospects is to offer a place to drop off their son/daughter and go to work knowing that they will be well cared for in an enriching environment."
Stay tuned for details on how CPWC plans to support Great Prospects in the coming year!

Each year, the Chattahoochee Plantation Women’s Club (CPWC) selects a charity to support. “Noche de Esperanza” Night of Hope benefiting Camp Hope and Kidz2Leaders at The Atlanta Country Club on February 9, 2019. Our chosen charity for 2016-17 is Wellspring Living
The Chattahoochee Plantation Women's Club Charity Committee has selected Wellspring Living as our Charity this year. Wellspring Living will benefit from the proceeds of our Valentine's Gala on February 11, 2017. We will also partner with Wellspring Living throughout the year in various ways as outlined below.
About Wellspring Living ~
MISSION STATEMENT...HELPING DOMESTIC SEX TRAFFICKING VICTIMS AND THE ‘AT RISK’ DEVELOP THE COURAGE TO MOVE FORWARD AND THE CONFIDENCE TO SUCCEED
WHAT IS DMST? Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking (DMST) as defined by the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000, reauthorized in 2008, is “the recruitment, harboring, transportation, provision, or obtaining of a person for the purpose of a commercial sex act” where the person is U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident under age 18.
DMST occurs when minors are forced, coerced or otherwise involved in the commercial sex industry. Despite how it may sound, trafficking does not require movement. A minor can be trafficked anywhere at any time and doesn’t even have to be moved beyond the boundaries of their own home to be a victim. This affects all of Atlanta and its surrounding suburbs and not just the metro area.

Photos from the Valentine's in Provence Gala 2016...
Communities in Schools of Marietta and Cobb County (CISMCC) to benefit from our Valentine's in Provence Gala on Feb. 6, 2016
Our CPWC objectives are to promote social contacts with our neighbors, to beautify our neighborhood, to conserve our natural resources and to serve a charitable purpose in our community. Regarding our charitable purpose, each year the CPWC board selects a local women’s and children’s charity to support. For example, in early 2015 our membership raised more than $20,000 at our Valentine’s Gala for the Drake House.
For the current year, the Board and Charity committee selected Communities in Schools of Marietta and Cobb County (CISMCC) to benefit from our Gala. This multi-faceted organization works predominately in Title 1 schools. Children and families in need are guided to take advantage of available community resources. Programming includes case management, tutoring, mentoring, early learning, and Reality U financial literacy. CISMCC is part of a nationwide network of Communities in Schools affiliates—one of a very small number of dropout-prevention programs in the country proven to keep students in school.
We are excited to partner with Communities in Schools of Marietta and Cobb County (CISMCC) this year. Members, friends and neighbors are invited to our “Valentine’s in Provence” Gala event on February 6, 2016 which will benefit CISMCC. In addition to this large-scale fundraiser, our members will have the opportunity to get involved with the charity in a variety of smaller ways.
As we become more familiar with all this non-profit does to help at-risk kids, our members will undoubtedly grow closer to this cause whose mission is “to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.” To learn more please go to www.cismcc.org.
